New Moon Sound Immersion: Relax, Restore, Renew with Joni Quinlan

  • Roots & River Yoga 17 West Potomac Street Brunswick, MD, 21716 United States (map)

The new moon is rich with symbolism and represents a time of great self-awareness where hopes and visions for the future can be manifested. Astronomy regards the energy of the new moon as a highly influential energetic force in helping us meditate, focus, and manifest our personal desires, dreams, and intentions.

This unique event combines three powerful yoga practices of Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra Meditation, and Sound Immersion.

Restorative Yoga is often called the bridge between asana’s and meditation. It helps relax, restore, rejuvenate and connect the mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga Nidra is a meditation that induces the alpha or deep daydream state. It is known to reduce tension and anxiety thereby helping to restore the body physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Sound Immersion is a way to soothes allowing time and space for healing in the body. It activates and engages the parasympathetic nervous system that helps improve digestion, sleep patterns creating a further relaxed state. When in this ultimate relaxed state we can better create our intentions for the month with the energy of the new moon.
