Most runners run to train rather than training to run. Over time, this wears on the body’s joints and fascia. While we may know of the importance of stretching and cross training, some still need to cultivate a sustainable daily and weekly recovery routine.
Join Nancy to learn quick and efficient strategies and movements to incorporate into your workouts for meaningful recovery. We'll cover myofascial release techniques, yoga, as well as some stability work that can be very impactful to replenish tissue hydration, gain range of motion, train tissues to prevent injury, and build stability in the joints to thrive at what we love most.
Through lecture and practice, the goal of this workshop is for you to experience multiple techniques. We will take time to pause, feel and notice what seems to serve your particular body best so that you can come up with a simple and quick pre and post run routine. We will create strategies for how to tend your body during active recovery days and what small things to include here and there during your day to maximize efficiency without taking too much additional time out.
