Fascia Release for Low Back and Hips with Massage Therapist, Tricia Kull (Join Online LIVE or Receive the Recording)

Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, blood vessels, and nerves. When it’s healthy, fascia allows your muscles to slide and glide as you move. However, when fascia gets tight and stuck, it can restrict your movement. Restricted movement can also be the result of holding tension in your body.

In this accessible fascia release practice, we will review the anatomy of the lower back, sacrum and hips. Through simple guided sequences, you will learn fundamental self-care to release tension and create space for more easeful range of motion and nerve glide.

In this workshop, you will learn how to release the layers of fascia throughout the full body as we give special attention to lower back and hips using special tools and movement techniques. The goal of this workshop is to release fascial “stuckness,” decrease tension, and increase easeful movement.

All levels are welcome.  No previous yoga experience required.

Cost: $20 This workshop will be offered LIVE online via Zoom and all who register will receive a recording to enjoy (or re-enjoy) at your convenience in the next 7 days.

Please bring to class:

  • A tennis ball or racquet ball ball or a close approximation.

    AND

  • Soft fascia peanut (if you have one) or a homemade “peanut.”  To make a homemade “peanut,” use five (5) knee socks or crew socks, tightly ball up two sets of socks and put them side by side inside the extra sock, and tie the end.

Tricia is a graduate of Willow Street and Body Balance Yoga teacher training programs (E-RYT 500) and is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). She is also a licensed massage therapist in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Tricia's yoga classes focus on dissolving tension in the body, creating optimal alignment, and connecting with the breath. She clearly articulates alignment instructions based on her knowledge of anatomy and exploration in her own practice.
