The Snow Moon signifies the month with the heaviest amount of snowfall in the northern hemisphere and some of the coldest days. One alternative name for the Snow Moon also focuses on the period's harsh weather conditions, the Storm Moon.
Although it can seem that the stark coldness of winter will never end, spiritually the Snow Moon invites us to linger in the space of pause and discover more deeply what is stirring beneath the surface, with Spring just around the corner. If embraced, there is a mystical tranquility in the depth of the stillness that late winter brings.
At this gathering, we will align with the energy of the full moon so that we may harness the potency that the seasons’ final deep pause has to offer. We will briefly discuss the themes associated with the February Snow Moon, settle into a long Yin and Restorative Yoga practice accompanied by sound therapy and mantra. We will seal our practice with a guided meditation designed for deep rest and relaxation.
No previous yoga experience required.
Cost: $20
