The best way to experience the meaning and purpose of traditional yoga wisdom is to look at the modern world through the lens of a few specific spiritual teachings and connect those teachings to our everyday tasks and challenges.
All too often, yoga wisdom texts seem to present us with esoteric concepts of questionable relevance, practice prescriptions with impractical requirements, and transcendental objectives that seem unrealistic.
But the goal of yoga wisdom isn’t actually that far out of reach. The problem is that we can’t always see the connection between philosophical ideas and real life. The question we should be asking is, “How can I turn yoga wisdom’s theoretical information into experiential knowledge?”
The answer is by exploring specific ideas of yoga philosophy and integrating them directly into your life one small step at a time.
That's what this workshop is all about. For yoga enthusiasts who want to learn how to follow the roadmap to spiritual success that’s woven into the pages of yoga’s spiritual wisdom literature, this workshop will be a guided journey to discover how we can connect six essential passages from the yoga wisdom tradition to our lived experience and explore the ways in which we can practically apply the information those passages contain in our personal, professional, social, and family lives.
You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a live online follow up session on Zoom to share your post-implementation personal realizations and ask any questions that come up for you as you apply the techniques you’ll learn during our in-person workshop. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the many ways in which traditional yoga wisdom can inform and transform our experience of life in the modern world.
