Cancelled 5/16 Online LIVE Fascia Release for the Diaphragm and Better Breathing with Tricia Kull

Fascia is connective tissue that supports the structure of your body. When it's healthy, fascia allows your muscles and tissues to slide and glide as you move. However, when your fascia gets tight or stuck, it can restrict your movement and have an impact on the depth of your breath.

In this workshop, we'll use fascia releasing techniques for the entire body, because the fascia net is all connected. Special focus and attention will be given to the diaphragm, the dome-shaped muscle that is the prime mover of the breath and the foundation of healthy breathing. We will explore how the diaphragm relies on the mobility of the spine and movement of the pelvic floor for depth of breath.

By using simple fascia releasing tools and following this guided full body sequence, you will release tension, create space, and improve your body alignment.  You will experience how releasing fascia in the feet and legs create a meaningful foundation for the breath.  These simple practices can support a deeper breath and assist you in feeling better in your body everyday.

This practice will be on the floor. Everyone is welcome and no previous yoga experience needed to join.

Cost: $20  - This workshop will be offered LIVE online only and will not be recorded.

Please bring to class:

  • A tennis ball or a racquet ball ball or a close approximation.

    AND

  • Soft fascia peanut (if you have one) or a homemade “peanut.”  To make a homemade “peanut,” use three (3) knee socks or crew socks, ball up 2 of them tight and put them side by side inside the third sock, and tie the end.
