April is the month that ushers us into the season of Spring and is linked to the astrological sign of Aires, which the first sign of the zodiac cycle. Aires energy is fiery, bold and ambitions and can be seen in the rapid growth of the springtime. This energy also assists us with our own motivation to evolve, grow and expand into our true nature.
In Yogic philosophy, this fire and “will to move forward” energy is associated with the 3rd Chakra/Solar Plexus, or Manipura - the city of gems. Manipura is our power center of self-discipline, warrioress energy and where we make contact with our authentic selves. When this chakra is out of balance, it can express as emotional volatility or can feel like lethargy, as if life is passing us by. When this chakra is harmonized, it fuels the motivating desire to move forward in life with confidence and self-clarity..
In this workshop, we will focus on the fire energy of Aires and the 3rd chakra through an invigorating Kundalini kriya (posture and breath sequence), guided meditation and mantra (positive affirmations). The focused and intentional practice will harness this fire energy for our benefit and ensure our season of Spring begins with clear vision and action that empowers our authentic self.

Stephanie brings her lifelong spiritual passion to her yoga classes. Understanding and working with energy has always been a big part of her life. She is a lover of crystals and astrology and has always been fascinated by how our energies are affected. Stephanie earned her Reiki Master certification in 2009. When Stephanie discovered Kundalini Yoga, and how it uses the body’s energies for healing and ascension, it was a natural fit for her. After receiving her Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training certification, Stephanie then sought out Yin Yoga training to complement and increase her knowledge of energy meridians from Chinese Medicine. Stephanie believes laughter is one of the best ways to raise our energy and is a form of healing, thus she endeavors to make class fun while also being transformative. During savasana, the resting pose at the end of class, Stephanie plays her gong which allows the body to experience more in-depth healing.
