Tai Chi Basics is being offered at Roots & River Yoga in an innovated collaboration between our studio and Peter Hodes of Tai Chi River in Nashville, Tennessee.

Peter began practicing Tai Chi Chuan on a beach in Thailand in 1990. What started as a two week workshop evolved into in-depth study of the traditional Yang-Style Tai Chi under the lineage of Professor Cheng Man-Ching. Today, Peter has been practicing Tai Chi continuously for more than 30 years. Peter’s mission is to teach the art of Tai Chi as an accessible practice for stress reduction, balance training to prevent falls, and overall enriched quality of life in body and mind.
