Experience the accessibility and joy of Chair Yoga for Free!
Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which the postures are performed while seated and/or standing with the aid of the chair. These meaningful practices provide stretching for increased range of motion, strength building and aid with balance, all without the challenge of getting up and down from the floor. Calming breath work and deepening of awareness as a tool for life off the mat is integrated into each class.
Chair Yoga is ideal for beginners, those with mobility issues who find a typical yoga session too strenuous, and those who want to focus on a gentle practice that brings variety to their yoga experience.
Chair Yoga with Melissa Cregger is one of the newest classes on our weekly schedule. We are offering the first class free.
Starting Wednesday, January 19th, Chair Yoga will be offered weekly on Wednesdays from 3-4pm as part of our regular class pass offerings - See Schedule
Cost: FREE
As someone who has long managed arthritis and a myriad of spinal issues, Melissa was impressed to experience notable pain relief within a short period of time of starting a regular yoga practice. Melissa’s yoga journey led her to explore multiple forms yoga styles, their unique benefits, and to finally earn her 200 hour certification through the Yoga and Ayurveda Center. She is specifically drawn to sharing the gifts of gentle practices like Chair Yoga and Restorative Yoga and is excited to share her joy of yoga with others through fun, thoughtful, and accessible classes for all bodies.
