Postponed - New Fall Date Coming Soon: Historical Photo Tour Through Downtown Brunswick with James Castle

unnamed-4.jpg

Learn about life in Brunswick from generations past while we spend some time together.

Join local historian James Castle and Roots & River Yoga’s Machelle Lee on a guided tour of a three-block, open-air photo exhibit in downtown Brunswick. Get the colorful stories behind 25 historic photos from the files of the Brunswick History Commission (BHC) and the Brunswick Heritage Museum (BHM).

Machelle sits on the Design Committee for Brunswick Main Street. The Design Committee collaborated with the BHC and BHM to select a wide range of images that depict Brunswick’s rich past. These images were printed onto “clings” and applied all along downtown windows to create an engaging art walk, nodding to Brunswick’s history.

The tour is FREE and registration is limited to 20 people. Please register any additional people that may be joining you. We will meet at the Brunswick Train Station on South Maple Avenue. Plan on arriving at least 5 minutes early to park and join us. The tour will begin promptly at 6pm.

Since we will be walking as a group, participants are asked to wear face masks.

If you would like to support these local organizations that are working to revitalize Brunswick while preserving its rich history, in-person or online donations of any amount to Brunswick Heritage Museum or Brunswick Main Street are always appreciated.
